What SuperBike8 is
SuperBike8 is an independent price comparison for bikes and e‑bikes. We bring together offers from online retailers and local bike shops and make prices, specs and availability fairly comparable.
Nothing is sold through SuperBike8. There is no shopping cart, no warehouse and no order processing. We build the technology that helps shoppers make better decisions – you always buy directly from the retailer.
The platform is operated by veriado (Vieweger Software S.L., Málaga, Spain), the owner-managed software company of Friedemann Vieweger. SuperBike8 is funded through affiliate commissions: when someone buys through one of our links, the retailer pays us a small referral fee – at no extra cost to you. Listing a local bike shop is free.
Clarification: the former "Super Bike 8" marketplace
Is SuperBike8 the same company that filed for insolvency in 2024?
No. Super Bike 8 GmbH from Herrenberg, Germany, ran a bike marketplace with connected dealer inventory from 2022 to 2024 and filed for insolvency at the end of 2024. There is no corporate or personal connection to that company.
Why the name SuperBike8, then?
The domains are held by veriado, the software company of Friedemann Vieweger. The current platform was rebuilt from scratch with our own technology – as a pure price comparison instead of a marketplace.
Can I order here?
No – and that's by design. SuperBike8 takes you to the best offer. Contract, payment, delivery and warranty are handled solely by the retailer or bike shop.
The technology behind it
A good price comparison lives and dies by data quality. Behind SuperBike8 is a product data infrastructure we built ourselves:
- Clean catalog normalization. Offers from retailer feeds and local shop websites are merged into one consistent catalog – including duplicates, spelling variants and model variants.
- Precise variant matching. Model year, frame size and build kit are recognized, so every offer lands on the right variant – not on the wrong model year.
- Daily updates. Prices, shipping costs and availability are refreshed continuously, with monitoring on every data source.
- Price history & price alerts. Historical price development for every model and optional alerts when your target price is reached.
- E‑bike depth. Filters for motor system, battery capacity, torque, range, shifting and frame size – criteria generic shopping sites don't cover.
- New and used kept apart. Used and refurbished offers are clearly labeled and never mixed with new-bike prices.
- Local bike shops. A nationwide directory of independent bike shops – with direct availability requests instead of an anonymous checkout.

Independent bike shops are under pressure online – yet expert advice, fitting and service can't be replaced. SuperBike8 makes local shops visible for free: with their own profile, the brands and services they offer, and direct customer requests.
