This Privacy Policy explains how Vieweger Software S.L. ("SuperBike8", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal information when you use www.superbike8.us (the "Site"). It also explains the rights you may have under U.S. state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA").

1. Who is responsible

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not use personal information to infer characteristics about you.

3. How we use information

To operate the price comparison and bike shop directory and to respond to your requests;
To forward your inquiry to the bike shop you selected (name, email and, if provided, phone and ZIP code);
To send price alerts and, with your consent, our newsletter;
To measure and attribute clicks to retailers for commission purposes (affiliate tracking);
To keep the Site secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix errors;
To analyze and improve the Site, where you have not opted out or, where required, have consented.

4. Affiliate links

Affiliate disclosure: SuperBike8 is reader-supported. When you click on a retailer link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the retailer. This never increases the price you pay, and it does not influence how offers are ranked – offers are sorted by price and availability. Retailers cannot pay for a better position in our price comparison.

When you click a retailer link, the retailer or its affiliate network (for example Awin, Impact, CJ or AvantLink) may set cookies or receive information such as a click ID to attribute a purchase to us. Their use of information is governed by their own privacy policies.

5. How we share information

Bike shops – only when you actively send them a request.
Service providers who process data on our behalf, such as our hosting provider (servers located in Germany), our email provider Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) and, where enabled, analytics providers.
Retailers and affiliate networks – click information as described above.
Authorities – where required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some advertising or analytics cookies may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain state laws. You can opt out at any time (see section 7).

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the Site and, depending on your choices, analytics and marketing cookies. You can manage your preferences at any time via the cookie banner or our Cookie Policy. We honor browser-based opt-out signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) as a request to opt out of sale/sharing.

7. Your U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and others), you may have the right to:

Know / access the personal information we hold about you;
Correct inaccurate personal information;
Delete personal information;
Obtain a portable copy of your information;
Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising – use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link;
Appeal our decision on your request (where your state provides this right).

To exercise your rights, email us with the subject "Privacy request". We will verify your request using the information you provide and respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days). You may use an authorized agent. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described: server logs up to 14 days; bike shop requests up to 12 months; price alerts until sent or cancelled and deleted no later than 90 days after sending; account data until you delete your account; newsletter data until you unsubscribe.

9. International data transfers

SuperBike8 is operated from the European Union and our servers are located in Germany. If you use the Site from the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the EU, where data protection law (GDPR) applies.

10. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when it was last changed.
